Joel and Sophie paths crossed when they met in Tokyo Japan in 2000. They had a Zimbabwean traditional marriage ceremony on December 28th 2002 and officiated their marriage on January 13th of 2003 in Jacksonville NC (lol... you'll have to ask them about the story). They have 3 amazing children. Munashe is the oldest and he is a college sophomore and has a football scholarship to Erskine College in South Carolina. Malachi the entrepreneur is in 10th grade in a High School Finance Program. Last but not least, Natalie the sweet nurturer, is a AB honor roll 8th grader.
Joel and Sophie Lancaster have shared the burden to disciple youth and young adults since 2008. They have enjoyed hosting them in their living room to share a meal and study the Word of God. They were ordained as ministers in 2012 by Apostle Lancaster at Rohi Kingdom International Ministries. In January of 2019, Sophie received her credentials as a Licensed Minister in the Assemblies of God.
Both Joel and Sophie are excited to launch Activate to see individuals and families transformed by the Gospel message and activated into purpose.
